I'm in North America Canada. The 2AZ-FE has 158hp stock from tye factory, with 162ft pounds of torque. The 09-10 Corolla XRS came with the 2AZ-FE engine.

I've owned a Toyota Corolla since 2009. Before that it was my Mothers car. It's a 2000 Corolla...Yes I put a few Bucks in the Motor for repairs. To make the car new again. So I don't need to replace the car!!!

Saying camry consumes 3.5litres more for every 100km doesn't really do justice to explaining the difference in fuel consumption. If one care takes 80litres for 100km and the other takes 103.5litres for same distance, is that much of a difference?

I think the Corolla has a more slick design while the Camry has a lengthy dull design especially the front. I like the Corolla because I believe that both the Camry & Corolla aren't really for prestige. They are for people who want reliability. The Camry is the bigger car with a bit more space while the Corolla is at a good size with good space, and is the cheaper starting price with the cheaper maintance. There is a reason the Corolla sells better. It's what the average human wants is to go from point A to point B with minimal money spent on it. This is my humble opinion.

The corolla sells for less and maintains more of its value in 5 years. Much better to have the corolla if you want to keep more of your money and keep that reliability also
