Hi! Dutchie here, haven't watched the vid yet but just here to tell that the older kids that are on social media seem to be doing well. Israël, who escaped, wrote a book detailing his experiences and it was probably the weirdest inspiring book I've read. He's been posting nice travel pictures on instagram. One of the elder sons has a family of his own, who didn't know about his youth prior to Israëls escape. He said it was another kind of liberation to finally be able to share his story.

Israël, who didn't follow any regular education is now in or about to finish university, which is amazing considering he's only been out for a few years.

Hey a Dutchie here. After everything came out. The whole county was in disbelieve. Immediately there was a go fund me set up for the children. The whole country donated. So the oldest kids could get everything they needed. From houses to school to therapy.

He downed 5 beers to find the courage to tell his story. And they took him back and dropped him off without a secong thought. Thats so crazy! Im glad he got free. Too bad the other children still havent realized that their dad is the evil one.

The fact he wasn't charged and the kids are living with him is sick and messed up. Those younger kids needed to be separated from their abuser and have counciling. What a messed up court system.

I worked with a girl who escaped from her family’s Mormon compound near Spokane, WA when she was around 20 years old. She and her siblings were never allowed off the property and were mentally and physically abused by the older people in the family. She was a little strange from the lifelong indoctrination, but overall really nice and trying to make the best of her life. I feel bad for those kids in this story.

Israel was born 29 days after me. While I was going to school, playing sports, making friends, going to college, getting my degrees, and starting my career, he was in a bunker. That is insane.

Just a little correction. Ruinderwold is not in the middle of nowhere. There is no "middle of nowhere" in the Netherlands. Our country is to small and the population is to dense. Ruinderwold is next to a highway and the next city is like a 5 minute drive away. Sure the house was in the countryside, but still very much not in the middle of nowhere, which makes it even more weird and astounding that he got away with this for so long

I find it extremely heinous that judges all over the world give SA perps such light sentences. The fact that some of his kids still live with him is such a red flag, who knows, maybe it's not going to be the last we hear of this family.
