Grief comes in many forms and is often unexpected. Knowing how to support the family unit and the child during the loss of a parent, sibling, or another family member is vital to providing competent care. In this video, I share some considerations for newer therapists who are looking to support families. Remember that just like all other areas, our best way to help families is proper training and supervision.

4 months have passes since we lost 1 of our parents . I have a 7 year old sibling with me (being 14 myself) . She often comes to me and cries a lot and asks a lot of questions . My remaining parent told me not to tell her "directly" about his "death" but rather tell her something like "he has gone to a place far far away from where he will never come back"

I prefer not to put the situation on the internet. Any help will be helpful at the moment.
