How to start learning Robotics as an absolute Beginner - 3-Step Process

For someone who has a mathematics background, MATLAB experience, a dozen courses in mechanical engineering, includes some in the master level, I wonder what would be the best action to take.
My interest right now encompass robotics and control via machine vision. Areas such as robotics in manufacturing are of great interest, wheel removal and installation, and welding applications to name a few.
I am learning how to use ROS, robotic kinematics and dynamics, reviewing control theory (oh how does one forget), python, C++, GIT, Bash, starting to get into image processing and computer vision, and playing around with CAD. There is, as you said, so much to review.
At least I feel quite comfortable with Linux. Been playing around with it for a number of years. Yep, even installed Arch as a challenge. I read that BSD is even harder, but at this point in my life why even go there.
