Maia overpowered Wozniacki. That said Wozniacki did have a chance to win but threw it away. It was clear that Maia was really struggling on second serve, but instead of immediately taking the initiative in a rally, Wozniacki was continually doing little more than get the ball in play. She needed to go for it.
