Starts on 12th January and fully unlocking the Altar of Rites is very strong when paired with soul shards and the visions of enmity

Soul Shards Return in Diablo 3 Season 30. This will be a crazy strong season with greater rift 150 cleared on multiple classes and builds in the opening weekend and almost every set/build in the game will be 150 viable.

Visions of Enmity and the Alter of Rites both return too.

So after you kill butcher, continue down the hallway and hit the stairs for level 3, then make your way to Leoric's tomb. Usually down left, then up left. He also guarantee drops a whole bunch of shards. Even more efficient use of time/game making. :)

Wow a great tip thank you! I didnt know Butcher in Darkening of Tristram drops those gems like this. I made this event a few times in the past so i didnt care for a while about it since its all the same, i cant get more from this than i already have. But those shards is an epic idea, gotta farm while the event lasts!

If you’re doing this you need to run to level 3 and go to the Leoric’s Tomb and another 7 Shards.

It’ll take you an extra 30 secs on that Monk build

great build, didnt really feel like doing a monk this season so you can do it pretty effectively on a crusader, you will just need to press akarat champion after the first portal on the way to the cathedral to delete the cooldown on the pony, actually a fair bit of xp too because the 2 levels is one big killstreak

Got the first two chapters of season journey done with my monk after leveling early on a necro. No great rng, and I only got to paragon 50ish. Today will be for finishing the inna set for farming.

As a truck driver i usually don't have a ton of time for a specific day but I was free last night (thankfully) and made 70 before going to bed. Got some good rng and got a shard from zoltun khul and got my diamonds (first try) when salvaging and the rest was history after that

Unfortunately this has already become outdated.... I can not count how many guides I've watched saying to go do the darkening of tristram event, it took me over a hour of google searching to realize the event is only active during January....
