People always respond to sincerity. He can sing. He's an entertainer. It's obvious how much doing the Smiths meant to him and that translates to the crowd. Their reaction is plain to see. One of those great Glastonbury moments.

Some people just don't understand that The Smiths will carry on living with tributes such as this one. Rick is a hardcore fan and he absolutely nailed it. Great entertainer, and a great performance.

Played the original Smiths version at my late wife's funeral (on her last request) in 2011 who passed away so young, she loved The smiths. Do a good version here Rick.

The guitarist's headshake and the drummer's *enormous* smile in response is just too precious. The entire band must be feeling absolutely overwhelmed by a sense of "how is this happening right now?"
The band and Rick absolutely killed it!
