Pardon my ignorance, but I did not know what DFU stands for. I had to check on the Internet. Perhaps, for the short headed like me it would be good to tell what acronyms stand for. DFU = Device Firmware Upgrade.

Christ almighty, been trying to get into DFU mode for the past hour just so I can remove jailbreak. Every site says the usual up -> down -> side -> then hold down -> let go of the side button after 5 seconds. Multiple times, no luck. Even updated, then tried it.

Instead, holding the side button down throughout the whole thing was the answer. Cheers!

Can you get to DFU mode from Recovery? My phone is stuck in a Recovery Loop. iTunes can't talk to the phone.
