This song hits hard. Today my son turns 1. Me and his father were together for 13 years and I couldn't conceive but finally did. At 3 months old I found out he was cheating and had been the whole time I was pregnant. At 8 months old I caught him again and he had me and our son removed him his apartment. Me and my son are doing better but it's funny how people can pretend to love you for so long but when things get tough they feel like leaving is the best thing. Sadly I still love him as much as I did for all those years even if he doesn't deserve my love but it's hard being a single mother and taking care of my son on my own. I thought he was happy because he wanted a child. I find myself driving by his place at times just to see if someone else's car is there. Then I think to myself, you will only hurt yourself more if you do.

If anyone else is hurting please remember you are not alone. Heartache is painful but you are strong and will make it through.

you're the only person I've seen who stays an octave down for the first half of the bridge and then builds up to the jump for the second part and it's SO MUCH BETTER THAT WAY??? it always sounds so jarring when people get to the bridge because they're immediately at this really high yell/belt that's so at odds with the rest of the song, but the way you transition into the higher octave makes it STUNNING. packs so much emotion. can't get over it. amazing job.
