During her senior year in college, Tricia Barker was in a fatal car accident.
She survived and returned to her body, having experienced a profound near-death experience (NDE).

Tricia’s book, Angels in the OR: What Dying Taught Me About Healing, Survival, and Transformation tells the story of her near-death experience, teaching mission, and eventual triumph over childhood trauma and sexual assault.

Tricia is a graduate of The University of Texas. She also received her MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College. Currently, she teaches English and Creative Writing in Fort Worth, Texas. Tricia’s poetry and essays have been published in several publications and she is the founder of The Annual Online Near-Death Death Summit, the next one is scheduled for August 1-2, 2020.

Tricia believes that joy, humor, and healing is available to everyone through a deeper connection to divinity.

I lost my beloved husband eight months ago- I wasn’t prepared for his death and still can’t facing the reality ... taking the treatment from therapist ..have had lots of love and empathy from my surroundings ( families & friends..) with great difficulty I slowly learned to live with my grief - but I find myself desperately need to know that he is OK he is happily up there, One day I will find him again finally I want to believe it so badly to watch your interview give me the faith, hopes..my sincerely THANKS and warmest regards to you-you are one of the Angels !!

I lost my my precious, kindest, sweetest and most caring and wonderful mama recently from COVID. We were like peanut butter and jelly - we were so close and it was so difficult not being with her in the hospital. I am so devastated and feel lost - I watched your video and feel some hope that I will see her again - I hope and pray she's with me and that she hears me talking to her every day.... I look outside at everything that is beautiful in this world and think she's part of it - but I just want to hold her and tell her how much I love her... I pray she's okay and with my father, her parents and sisters... I pray that I see her again... Thank you for this video....

Beautiful event! This happened to me in 1989. God gave me a choice to live or come back! I knew I had to raise my Daughters! It was a great experience!! I’ve got old many people and believe I came back with a Beautiful Gift to spread Gods Word and became a Great person to help those and tell them things that God has given me an insight into their life!!! Heaven is Real!! There are no words to describe what Heaven looks like!!! Too Beautiful to describe!!!! God Bless

First of all; totally fantastic!! As to why people like hearing about NDE's. For me, the world can get so dark, where it seems that lying and not loving is just the norm, and one could just think that there can't be any bigger Spiritual Reality....like watching the news any day; it is SO bad. But then I watch things like this, and it REALLY helps me to basically have faith in what i already know in my heart. Stories like yours are incredibly uplifting, I tell people all the time to watch these.
Also on Angels; I agree; i ask them for help with everything. Parking, getting to places on time, traffic, for help with business stuff... If i ever have an important conversation, if i remember, i will ask for Helpers to assist the communication. Have to talk to a really difficult person, I ask for that person's guardian angel to assist. I ask angels for help with many things every day. I just make up Angels that i may need. Angels of getting places on time; angels of safe walking at night, angels of adjusting the time (if i'm running late...but then I can't look at the clock!!).. etc. etc. You can ask them for help with anything.

I love your interviews. You're so very real, so clearly moved by the topics & experiences.

FWIW, I want to share that it's not really a "here or there" sort of thing, being alive or dead, on this side or that side. We're in both places always - there is no twoness-no separation in Source/God. Even those dear ones who are still living are sometimes encountered on "the other side." We never leave.

We've forgotten (or been programmed out of) knowing we're Source-in-form, one cell in the body of Source. Our one 3D body has trillions of cells; why not all beings as cells in Source? Source projects an energy into form that is us - but we never leave "heaven." Would be so good for all to know this, to remember, perhaps reconnect with that aspect of our being.

So, just like a toe cell, an elbow cell, & a lung cell, we may be doing quite different things while being largely unaware of one another - seemingly separate - but together, we're the One, the All That Is. Yeah, ego, the mind, & identifying with the body are in the way - temporarily. Still, we know, deep within, what is & what is the dream. 3D is - to who we *really* are - the dream, the adventure, the play, with the 3D form as the costume.

As we step out & away from identifying with the ego/mind/form, the reconnection with Who we truly are is quite natural. The ego/mind flips out - perhaps knowing it will never be fully in the driver's seat ever again - but we don't have to identify with that. We can view it more as a ruly child & ignore it or buckle it firmly in the back seat, using our free will to put Who we really are in the driver's seat of our life.

Anyway, sorry for going on so long. These things seem to write themselves when the inspiration arises. :)
