Come & Sing "The Armed Man' 10th October 2018, 8pm SELBY ABBEY
It is almost 100 years to the day since the guns fell silent at the end of World War One. As the global community unites to mark this centenary, Prima Choral Artists warmly invite all singers to join a very special performance of 'The Armed Man' in commemoration of those who gave everything for our freedom today.
The high profile concert performance directed by musical director Ewa Salecka will be held in the splendour of Selby Abbey with professional guest soloists and the powerful brass accompaniment of York Railway Institute Band.
In 2015 Prima Vocal Ensemble performed Karl Jenkins' masterpiece with the band, taking the already emotive nature of the music to a new level and we are delighted to share this truly exceptional opportunity with everyone. Ultimately, we can think of no more fitting work with which to honour family members and the untold millions who paid the ultimate sacrifice through bitter conflict.
