It was like meruem was the protagonist this entire arc

Rather just having epic final battle to end this arc, they end it with the most beautiful way of ending the arc. Instead of having Mereum, the OP character and main villain of the Ant arc facing Gon or Killua, the protagonist of the show which every anime do, he has his final moments with Komugi. That sir is how you end a arc with no interation with main characters or a epic fight scene and this is first time I ever cried to a villain death with a happy ending :')

I actually got spoiled with Meruem's death but I didn't expect to cry this much. Such a masterpiece Togashi and excellent work Madhouse.

That episode 135 of hxh will always be remembered as one the greatest ending of any fiction, damn it still effects me till this day. :(
