How to Download the Youtube app on Older iPad (ios 9.3.5) (NO HACKING)

I show you a simple way to install Youtube and other apps to an out of date iPad 2 with a work around using your apple ID from another IOS device.

Apple seems to have caught on to people being aware of this work around and since the most recent update this work around seems to not work. My only recommendation is before trying this on a fresh factory reset old ipad, make sure you turn off all automatic update for the ipad itself, the appstore and the apps themselves. The ipad 2 i show in the video is still able to use youtube and netflix because of this.

To those checking the comments: This still works to get the apps onto the device; HOWEVER... when attempting to launch YouTube, Google will notify you that the app does not meet the latest security requirements and will ask you to update to the latest version - which you CANNOT.

Thus despite having the app, this method is a mute point.

Mate your a legend, i just got youtube working on my ios 9.3.5 iPad. I had to delete youtube first but then the heartwarming message appeared - "Do you want to install the last compatible version?"
Hell yes i do, hell yes baby. Woohoo :)

February 9, 2021 my youtube on my old ipad has been saying that I need to update if I want to continue whenever I finish watching a video. Any solutions or explanation as to why this is happening?

Got an old iPad mini running iOS 9.3.6 it downloaded the old version but when I go on YT it says “Error loading Tap to retry” and it won’t load! Anyone else out there with the same problem?
