Harvest is finally here! In today's video: all harvest equipment (combine, tractors, grain cart, trucks) get pulled out of the building, everything checked over, and we start harvesting soybeans! We are only at the beginning of the season, so hold on tight! Sneak peak for those of you that actually read these descriptions: an old combine will be pulled out of the weeds soon. Stick around, you won't want to miss this!!

At 70 years old, I'm tracking the changing of the seasons by watching Laura's farm. Have been out of the midwest for 50 years and it's like being 'home' again. Such a wonderful story teller she is. Video content, production, editing and b-roll is top notch. Love the drone's eye view. Thank you for such terrific programming. Have a safe, swift, enjoyable and profitable harvest. God Bless!

Nice job you guys make a great team. Incredible equipment. As a young man in the 70’s I worked summers on a bulb farm in Sumner Wa. I loved it. The digging machines were homemade, Wisconsin air cooled 4 cylinder engines (2), model t parts, WW2 truck parts. Hit a bunch of grease fittings every morning. Loud, no mufflers, turn it off for a half hour lunch in the field, crew of 8 per machine, Paul Harvey on the radio at lunch. The Best.

Everyone's been in harvest here in southern Idaho for 2 months now. Grain is done. Straw is baled. Last cutting of hay is done. Potatoes are getting into full swing and also early sugar beets. Corn is in full swing too. Beans and onions are done now too. Have a great and safe harvest Laura. Love your equipment and also the way you take care of it.

You explain the pre-harvest process so eloquently and in a way for a non-farm person to understand. Again, I wish I had been offered the opportunity to visit with you, meet Grant and Gage, and see your farm in progress. But possibly next summer the chance will avail itself. The daily chores are truly eye-openers as to what farm life is like. "Great job!" to all of you!!

A little anti-seize on the PTO shaft and receiver will help prevent rust forming making it easier to install come harvest time. And the 'never pry with this' tool is used for popping up automotive button head retainer clips. Love this time of year! Thanks for letting us join in!

Absolutely get that Sears rider up and running, Great keepsake and a workhorse around the farm. It's great to see you all in the field again for a long and hopefully bountiful harvest season. Keep up the great work and be safe out there.

Good morning Sunshine! Good to see you, Grant and Gage today. Thanks for the tour of the equipment and preparation process for harvest. I pray for a bountiful, smooth and uneventful harvest season for you guy this year. I think it would be good to restore the old tractor from Grants early years. Have a blessed week and be safe. Down here in the South I love the cotton harvest. Watching the white disappear in into a roll in the field and the smell of fresh cotton is awesome . Sure it's hot and has it's bad moments but it's worth it. When you get to the last round of the harvest it's a sigh of relief.

Nice equipment…good job with the prep work on them and making sure that they function properly.
Remember, speed is not of the essence, but safety is!
Have a great harvest Laura!

27:12 I thought that ''dragging chaing'' was one of those MYTHE OLDE WIFIES TAILS that helped with static electricity and the dust stickin to the tracktor? hahahaha

Thanks Laura and Grant and Gage for entertaining us. It is so pleasing to watch you all do the work and it's even more so in the fact that you apparently enjoy it.

I like how you are constantly watching the header, that's very important especially with the cutter bar on the ground.
It's easy to pick up a Rock or piece of metal
Good job!!!

Hi, at 23:45 the tool is to remove plastic clips holding on panels and upholstery such as those used on autos & and pickups. It could suddenly snap if used for prying. I enjoy your videos so much, you do such a good job of showing that farming is not for the lazy or the fearful. You two are a great team.

You just reminded me of a scene in the movie Cars. Mater and Lightning McQeen are tractor tipping. They then get chased off the field by a combine named Frank!!! Hilarious!!! 😆

Grant and Laura, really enjoy your content. in this video, you should have moved the semi out of the center of the barn and then pull the combine forward towards the planter and the back it up into the space where the first semi was. always give the turning wheels the biggest space for manueverability purposes. keep up the excellent work.
