You didn't say everything.
All and only Illagers (Evoker, Pillager, Vindicator, Ravager, Illusioner) are running away from The Creaking, like Villagers from Zombie.
It has to do with why Pale Garden is intended to be variant of Dark Forest where Illagers' base Woodland Mansion exists.
