Are you preparing for the PMP exam? In 2023 alone, I have seen 100’s of failure stories across the internet. More and more people are failing because some of the PMP practice tests on internet gives you an impression that PMP exam is simple.

Though, I don’t mean to scare you but the reality is PMP exam have a considerable number of scenario-based questions and to understand those PMP questions, you need to know the underlying patterns. This video takes you through the 15 underlying patterns and also some of my best-selling techniques such as
• Varun Anand’s World-famous elimination technique
• Neil Armstrong technique
• Einstein technique

We have covered different types of questions:
• Fill in the blank questions
• Drag & Drop questions
• Multiple answer choice questions
• Scenario based question
• Mathematics question

Normally, we don’t record PMP exam questions and answers videos because it takes lot of effort at our end. However, if you want to access those videos, below are the links.

First video I recorded in 2019 was on PMBOK 6th edition. Some more argue that this video is no longer valid but I beg to differ because this video is not about PMP questions. Watch this video to understand how I am eliminating the wrong choices. That is what you have to learn.

Second video, I recorded was on PMP exam content outline or PMBOK 7th edition was 2021 and this is a very important video as well.

I really feel proud when people says that they are grateful for our free content which has helped them to pass PMP in first attempt with above target. Do check thousands of comments from people around the world for this videos & every videos, which we consider as their blessings & love for us & our channel.

I have no idea how you have the time to reply to every comment, but it's exactly the reason I chose your site. Anyone who works this hard definitely has my respect. Your questions are exactly like the course material and the video is REALLY helping me. This is perfect. I have a long way to go, but my application should be approved any day now (mine got audited, naturally) and then it's go time. Oh, and I love your accent! Don't apologize for talking so much, it's what we're here for!

Questions can really get tricky! I really love the importance of understanding questions by scanning for keywords. The techniques such as Einstein, Neil Armstrong and process of elimination really came handy in answering questions as you get to be more focused in what is being asked so you can come up with better answers . Great Video #Eduhubspot !

Just 13 minutes into the video- first class video, first class explanation. The way you broke the question into parts and explained to us is commendable.

8. Analogous: some activities have been done previously, comparing with the similar nature of previous projects.
Parametric: effort is estimated on one unit and numbers are used to calculate by multiplying with total number units.
Three point: estimate the best, worst and average case as no clear details available. And then reach to a conclusion.
Bottom up: estimate for small work package and then reach up to the activity/WBS/project.

Q1- C (I've no idea about other 3 options but I'm aware of daily scrum since the question had "less frequently" so guessed that scrum layer would be conducted on daily basis.)
Q2-D (An agreement with customer on success criteria might prevent future projects).
Q3- A. (The development needs to be finished so that testing can be started.)
Q4- C&D (It seems the correct approach of a project manager)
Q5- (Predictive life cycle-->2nd), (Iterative life cycle-->1st), (Incremental life cycle-->4th), (Hybrid life cycle-->3rd)
Q6- D (Any New regulation has to be checked with compliance team)
Q7- A & D (Design work has to be creative hence opting for those both options)
Q8- (Analogous-->3rd), (Parametric-->4th), (Three point-->2nd), (Bottom up-->1st)
Q9- D (Stakeholders need to be notified in case of impact on project schedule and budget)
Q10- A&C (The project budget $100, 000 and for 20% money spent should have been $20, 000)
Q11- (Avoid-->2nd), (Smooth-->4th), (Compromise-->1st), (Problem solve->3rd)
Q12- C (A list of risks will help new project manager )
Q13- B & D (Both options might sync up the teams)
Q14- B (Alterations in legal need to be verified with organization legal team )
Q15- B (Guessed this option as none of the rest options seems to coordinate with legal team )

Q1. Answer is D - Fishbowl windows for each site, because this can help to categorize site based on security requirement then and based on the requirement he can join the meeting in less frequent

Q 2: I opted for Option D - Since its a Agile Project & Coming up with the agreement with customer for definition of done in the beginning of the sprint can help avoiding the situation of customer not considering it as success at the end of the project.

Q-8 -- After googling the definitions of each of the estimating technique, my answer is herewith
Analagpous estimating -- some of the activities on the project have ...
Paremetric estimating -- cable installation is directly ...
Three point estimating -- for some of the activities a range ...
Bottoms up estimating (ths one i already knew) -- Lakendra is using WP's to build an estimate for WBS

For question 3, took a sec to realize why it's flipped but it's fairly obvious: while the question reads as the "start" task before the "finish" task, the "finish" task chronologically comes before the "start" task. So you have to finish dev before you can start testing (thus F-S).

Q13: Answer Selected: B and D. Since the issue is related to working in Silos, better coordination and dependency network between projects will enable to better sync up the Deliverables and hence I have chosen B and D

Q1 - C (having focused scheduled meetings to sync would help)
Q2 - A (regular feedback from customer would help)
Q3 - A (development has to Finish and only testing can Start)
Q4 - C and D (A and E cannot be correct, between B and C, C is better choice as one solution has not worked)
Q5 - Iterative (repeated cycles keyword), Predictive (Scope, Cost and Time are pre-fixed), Hybrid (scope flexible and known rollout, Incremental (last choice)
Q6 - D (check first with Compliance before proceeding and making next decision)
Q7 - A and C (B - takes time, D - again time consuming, E - worst fit)
Q8 - 1 is Bottom up (keyword make her way up), rest no idea
Q9 - D (none of the other 3 will help to mitigate the resource issue)
Q10 - A (15% only spent though 20% work done) and C (20% work done whereas the plan was 30%)
Q11 - 1-B (avoid dealing both), 2-C (making both happy), 3-A (splitting equally to both), 4-D (best solution by discussing with both all pro/cons of both approaches and then decide)
Q12 - A (assuming WBS is work breakdown system and its linked to activities)
Q13 - B and D (keyword Common in both that can tackle the Silos issue in question)
Q14 - B (disregard for Legal requirements in question, so best to take Legal advice)
Q15 - C (issue is use of Patented component, remove it and develop alternative and proceed)

Great video and a lot of new concepts to learn. Most of the questions that i answered followed elimination technique by trying to get keywords from the questions asked and filtering out the most appropriate answer. My answers to all questions along with my understanding is given below.

Q1: Option C - Agile is the most popular project management approach with Scrum being the most popular methodologies followed. This seemed to be the most appropriate one comparing the remaining options.

Q2: Option D - The question referred to Agile project management. My mindset to choose option D was because this one spoke about scrum concept like stories and it completion.

Q3: Option B - This looked quiet straight as i went by the detailed explanation of the question to select answer. Never thought it should be flipped.

Q4: Option B and D - Looked to me like there was a gap in the definition of done so selected B to ensure the gap in definition of done gets covered in the definition of ready.

Q5:
Predictive Life Cycle: A project where scope, cost and time will be determined in the early phases of life cycle.
Iterative Life Cycle: A project where scope will be determine early in the project life cycle, but time and cost will be constantly modified. Team will do series of repeated cycles until it reaches perfection.
Incremental Life Cycle: Scope is constantly changing for the new deliverable, but rollout of the deliverable would be done in a known phased approach.
Hybrid Life Cycle: A project which needs to be launched in the market as quickly as possible.

Q6: Option D - As regulations are involved, it is best to consult with Compliance to check how long the product is valid.

Q7: Option A and E - As a new additional task was added into the iteration, i assumed extending the iteration made more sense.

Q8: Honestly dont know much about estimation technique and did a wild guess on matching the answers.
Analogous Estimating: For some of the activities, a range of estimates is preferred due to insufficient historical data
Parametric Estimating: Some of the activities on the project have been done previously in some other similar project
Three-Point Estimating: Cable installation activity is directly proportional to the number of labor hours put in be the staff
Bottom Up Estimating: LaKedra is planning to use work packages to estimate and make her way up on the WBS

Q9: Option D - It is best to keep the stakeholders informed to keep them informed.

Q10: Option A and C - Team progress is 10% behind where it should be, but should have involved $20, 000 (20% of budget), of which $5, 000 less has actually been spent.

Q11:
Avoid: I don't have time to deal with this right now. You both can take a decision on your own
Smooth: I heard that you both did a great job in resolve the phase 1 issue. Good job and keep it up
Compromise: Do half development per Ron and other half as per Susy
Problem Solve: Let's sit and talk about the issue and the reason for favoring one approach over the other. Once we discuss the viewpoints, let's adopt a solution which is good for the project

Q12: Option A - Tried eliminating the incorrect options and arrived at A.

Q13: Options B and D - shared items would facilitate increased collaboration between the teams

Q14: Option B - as the legal team would be best to address any concerns with legal requirements
Q15: Option D - Saving cost seemed to be appropriate as majority work was complete and associated budget used.

Q3. I choose option A, Why; When project can start only after completing all other requirements so it would be finish-to-start relationship.

Q3. I selected A, because unless and until requirements are not finished, develeopment on modules can't start. So clearly, Finish to Start relationship.

Q8 Analogous- 3, Parametric-2, 3 point -4, bottom up-1–> clear by definition

Question 1: option C
Having a scrum and providing quick summary on the activities will keep both team informed on progress as well it wouldn’t require more time and will be effective
