Since it was first on the air, I’ve watched the entire series at least 8 to 10 times. I have learned more about the workings of our federal government than I ever could in any school that I paid to attend. Erin Sorkin is my favorite author, yes, I know he’s a writer, but when someone asks me who my favorite author is, it’s always the same answer. Sorkin. Because to me, he is an author. He’s the author of the greatest television scripts of our time.

I'm a republican and was in politics for over 20 years in my state. In fact, I began the year The West Wing premiered.

I'd vote for Jed Bartlet in a heartbeat. Even though he's a democrat, he's a good man who tried to do right for all. Which is what it is supposed to be all about.

Does anyone know the name of the narrator? This narrator’s voice is so familiar to me, from my childhood, but I can’t think of where else I have heard his voice
