He was so good, probably the most talented English player of his generation. Such a shame he was capped only 8 times by the national team. Only because he played in a relatively small club like Southampton. Just for not calling him up, England deserved to lose the Euro 1996.
If he wanted, this guy could have played in any club in the world, from Man U to Real Madrid, and be the best player in any of those clubs, even win a Ballon D'Or.
