Thanks for the telescope review! I agree, small and portable is best for beginners, especially if you're not sure you (or the intended scope recipient) is going to get enthusiastic with star gazing. Can be a turn off for beginners if the scope is a hassle to set up and take down.

you are suggesting reflector for beginner do you take into account alinging mirrors for beginners which is a pain in the ass

am thinking about orion xt8plus cuz i want to see the planets very good not like a dots in the sky.. and i dont know if there is better and cheaper than this telescope or the same price .. give me your advice please .

I just want to see Jupiter and Moon, since there is nothing more interesting up, saw Andromeda with Binoculars no need for scope, not that interesting, saw the Milky way, it was interesting with a scope, but its just a bunch of stars, cant be compared with jupiter and saturn and moon, those are 3 things i want to look at, and looks like SC Catadioptric 90mm is good for that, is this true or there is a better scope for Moon, i want to see those craters very nice .
