I nearly trashed this painting halfway through. I’m glad I didn’t.

True story. I wanted to quit halfway through this painting. I was so close to tearing it in half and using it for scraps because I didn’t see it develop the way I had imagined it in my head. Learning to let go of control and allow the painting to mature into itself has been my biggest struggle and my biggest growth this year. But I love where it has taken me. ❤️

I hope you did a long video of this. It took me years to realize that when people paint in a hurry, kind of like they don’t care, like when you made the little swirls, it just looks better but I still can’t bring myself to do i t.
