James Gunn recently shared this quote when it comes to the future of DC Studios:
“We are not going to put hundreds of millions of dollars into a film where a screenplay is only two-thirds of the way done and we have to finish it while we’re making the movie. I’ve seen it happen again and again and it’s a mess.”
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out which studio he’s referring to.

Honestly I’m so excited for Brave New World for many reasons;

Red Hulk, Giancarlo Esposito, Harrison Ford being introduced into the MCU, the story in general, and just a more grounded story.

Trailer looked great in my opinion, so I really hope it ends up being good.

All I can say is: the footage has brought up my excitement immensely.

The fact it had terrible test screenings and now their doing reshoots make me think theyre changing things to make sure its really good, putting in lots of effort to make sure its well received. Plus the very serious, grounded, winter soldier tone and vibes look very reassuring but it wouldn't surprise me if its not too good

There was new footage at D23, and without spoilers it was pretty much an extension of what we saw in the first teaser. A little nervous for the project.

I’d say reshoots ballooned the budget at the very least.

From what I heard, the point of the reshoots and the delay was so they could make the film they wanted to make.

They should have stories that they want to tell instead of having characters that they want to make a movie around.

Guardians 3 is a film where James Gunn had a story he wanted to tell.
Thor 4 is a movie where they wanted another Thor movie.

The difference is clear and they shouldn’t be announcing things like blade until they have a story that they actually want to tell but this is Disney where they have to appeal to investors more than audiences.

The difference between rogue one and the marvel movies is a director with a creative vision was making the changes and or additions. Marvel it’s a committee of producers which is not making changes from a creative perspective but a business perspective which hurts the films every time.

I hope its goodz i have no idea, i wouldn't really be suprised if it sucks or if its lowkey fire. Or if its just like ok, i like every captain america movie so i do hope this doesn't mess that up in the series but we'll see

Honestly, the technical filmmaking in this could be masterful, but it's everything else that would ensure that I never pay a dime for this movie. And that is a growing and growing perspective from many different groups of people, whether it be the four or so that are boycotting the film for a different reason, or just exhausted filmgoers who have kept up with Marvel thus far and have reached a breaking point. No viewer confidence has been earned whatsoever.

Only big name directors like SPIELBERG, SCORSESE, CHRISTOPHER NOLAN etc get “Final Cut” meaning the studio and or other producers can’t change their vision. It’s in their contracts.

What we have seen so far seems solid. Obviously it would have been better to have it set in stone from the jump but it’s better now than never with Feige getting more power back. Seems like he has a better game plan now after seeing the success of D&W and the changes made to DDBA for the better. If at the end of the day this movie is the proper spiritual sequel to Winter Soldier we never got then that’s good enough for me and think that’ll be good enough for the general audience. Make a solid $700 million range would be a W for marvel.

Even the trailer didn't feel so good

Let's hope for the film to be successful

I could swear Sean already covered this in its own separate video. Maybe it was part of a longer video about other stuff.

In any event, it's not unreasonable to be wary of the film, but what I've seen so far makes me optimistic. Hopefully, it will be good.

My concern is that they’re trying to fix the movie in post production which has proven to not work. The Marvels had a bad script that they tried to fix in post and it didn’t work at all. I think the same can happen with this movie

From the trailers I'm rather excited but all the issues are making me nervous

The quality of the movie isn't a factor if the reshoots are as extensive as they were rumored to be because the threshold for success is too high. If the rumors are true, this movie would have to make nearly a billion just to break even.

The Forbes report on the budget of thos movie will be very interesting.
