I've had Consumer Cellular for over 7 years and I love it! Great coverage, great customer service! When I call I can actually talk to a customer service person right away, and its someone I can easily understand! My bill is $26.00 a month! Love it!!

Both my Samsung smartphone and back up flip phone won't let me call out as they hang up on me. I hope there's never an emergency!! Watching this video, I learned about the sell out. I remember the old rotary dial phones and how reliable they were. 21st century tech is not all its cracked up to be!

Not all of the information you provided is accurate as of 2023/2024. CC offers unlimited plans now for a family of 5, such as mine. I pay about $145/month for all 5 of us. My daughter is a teenage cellphone maven and uses up the data cap within the first week each month. Yes, there is a data cap on their unlimited plan.... The most annoying thing about this is the barrage of emails CC sends to me to notify my family reached the limit. They toggle the data speed down, but honestly, I don't notice any difference in the speed. BTW - AT&T was charging me twice the price for the same service. With AT&T, whenever you call customer service, you speak with someone from either India or the Phillipines. "Please let me know if I speak too fast or too slow." Ugh! When I call CC customer service, I speak with some woman from the US (usually Kentucky). Thanks!

I was amazed because I received an answer within 30 seconds but was expecting to wait much longer. I lost my phone and could not get back into my email without the cellphone text message number. Nightmare! I called Consumer Cellular and the assistant was absolutely adorable and pleasant and did not try to over sell me or under cell me and I think I the purchase was good and reasonable. I will say that I am going to check out those other services as I had never heard of them before. Thank you!

I have Consumer Cellular and it's awesome! I don't have to deal with these so called "hidden" charges that I was hit with every month for basically nothing. I had a major carrier and they screwed me royally. I've had to pay very little. I pay the same every month and I have more than enough data, texting and calls. I can do a lot now than I ever could with the other carriers. Consumer Cellular I'm 57 and all I pay is 45 dollars a month for unlimited texting calling and data. Customer service was awesome. The phones I needed budget wise were reasonable. I paid less for my phones and if I had a problem they helped me a lot.

I'm a new user - old dude, too. I have nothing but positive things to say about the phone, service, etc. I got on "Chat" and had my minor (operator issue) problem fixed fast.

We've been with CC for 3-4 years now. Yes, unlimited was pricey, but a bargain compared to Verizon, (which we dropped). Now that we're both retired, we have a much cheaper plan that works out with Unlimited talk&text and very little data we don't use anymore anyway. Yes, phones are limited from them, but we've had no problems with getting one's that fit our needs and budget. We're happy with them. They're affordable, reliable, and customer service is top shelf.

We have AARP—unlimited talk text and data, at $55 for two lines. Great US based customer service, no problems.

I am a new user of Consumer Cellular as of a little over a month ago and I love it. I purchased a new cellphone and changed my number (my choice to do so), I have nothing but good things to say, .
When I call customer support the most I have to wait was 8 minutes and they put me in as a callback for the next available operator who was very nice.

CC used AT&T where i live - left AT&T prepaid for mint, got horrible signal and slow data - tried going to back to AT&T prepaid but couldnt get a person to port my number... in the meantime i move my google voice number to a call service which was also not great for speeds. went to CC and having great experience i dont need much customer support just the port - i would have happily paid AT&T to port the number but here we are and now moving my second number to CC.

i never thought i would need to join CC

Target no longer sells iPhones. I called today- 3/16/23 and was told they gave up selling them before the pandemic. I had to call Apple and order my iPhones, both a 14 (with 512 GB) and 14 Plus (with 128 GB), for $2, 202 incl. tax. WAY too expensive! But I couldn't find a (Consumer Cellular) iPhone any cheaper.
And, of course, my old 6-s and 6-s Plus are now paperweights with zero trade-in value.

I hate to even comment but I have been trying to transfer my cell service from ATT to Consumer Cellular for the last couple of days. I admit I only have a PHD in chemistry and may not be bright enough to figure out how to do this but so far it has been a nightmare! I spent over 3 hours on the phone yesterday trying to get the SIM cards working on two phones without success. To be honest the customer service, while mostly polite, obviously were over worked and just not setup to help. I am in the US and had the additional barrier that usually results when talking to non-native English speaker. I am not blaming the person on the other end of the line but the system is fundamentally flawed. The advertisement stating “all you have to do is put in the new SIM and away you go” is flat BS. Fortunately ATT is equally efficient and have not shut off my service so I still have a phone that works! If (when) I do it all over again I will do a lot more up front research. Zero stars at this point.

I have had CC FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. RECENTLY LOST THE SIM OUT OF MY PHONE. AFTER SOME GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES WITH CS. Got new sim with my old number. Now though keep getting msgs about going over plane usage. I never had this before. It's like telling me CONSTANTLY I have gone over usage. It's looks to me they have changed something now. On plan. Looking for something else now

We've been with them for almost 10 years...back when they were awesome. I knew nothing about the buyout until a couple of months ago when they cut my service off without asking me whether or not the data usage was valid which really pissed me off. Trying to get a hold of customer service in a "timely" manner is non existent with wait times in excess of a half hour or longer, and the call back request service is hit or miss. We will probably go with another carrier soon if they don't clean up their act soon...

I started using Consumer Cellular since April, 2017. I've always had good experiences working with their Customer Relations department. However, the last 2 years the agents as well as their supervisors have become way too confrontational, sarcastic and terribly rude. I am seriously thinking about giving my money to a competitor, even if it will cost much more money.

Frankly, I don’t find them expensive at all, my brother and his partner have Verizon, with their unlimited plan, and 2 phone lines, CC, with 2 lines, and the unlimited data plan, costs $100, a month less, for the same service !!!, as for phones, I find they have a better selection, than Verizon, And T-mobile !!, never checked AT&T.

I joined CC because I do not need to have a computer with me 24/7. Their flip phones is atrocious. I have been so frustrated I am seriously thinking of going elsewhere. I have had a cellphone since the 90s so I am not a novice senior. This is the worst phone I have ever had. Navigating and battery life are not user friendly, just to name two issues.
