I am proud of you to start showing real images on Instagram, that most girls would not do in this generation. You're changing the world into a better place, Stephanie! :)

Why in the world anyone thinks it's ever okay to ask a woman if she's pregnant is beyond me. It's never not rude, so stop doing it. You have no idea what she's going through. If she's having trouble conceiving, if she's just lost her baby, or if she's just bloated, has leftover baby weight or just carries her weight in the front. She could have self esteem and body confidence issues that you're only making worse by asking. (To clarify, I'm talking about women in general, not specifically Stephanie.)

When a question starts with “I don’t want to be rude”.... you are, you know your question is rude so stop pretending Susan!

If I were you, I would just rent a place in Spain if you’re planning on keeping your house. The only reason I say this is because you’ll have bills for two homes like taxes and other unexpected expenses. At least if you rent if something breaks you’re not responsible for certain expenses. Just something to think about! Xoxo

Hello! Spaniard here! There is a way to compromise between buying and renting in Spain which is something called "alquiler con opción/derecho a compra". It means that you rent a place, and a portion of the rent money is counted as deposit if you finally decide you want to buy the place after 1/2/3 years of living there, so not all the rent money is a "lost". In this kind of rent you can also negotiate buying privileges, which mean that whenever the place is put for sale, you can make the first offer, and also if someone beats your offer and the owners want to accept it, you can just offer the same amount and keep the place for you. Not all "rents with buying option/rights" have the same conditions, so is better to look it up carefully. Hope this gives you another option :) If this is impossible, I would do what Darren says. Not because I am so catastrophist and feel that big plans like this can go wrong (trying to be more positive in general), but because as they say in other comments, is better to try first and make sure where you want to live, the areas and such. As another suggestion, if your heart is not 100% set in coming to Spain, I would take a look to Portugal also. The Cascais area, near Lisbon, is absolutely amazing, beaches to die for and mountains with hidden palaces and natural parks to hike in. Lots of kisses and good luck wishes!

"Donkeys aren't waterproof" I don't know why I found that so funny ahaha

Darren’s suggestion of renting for a year might be the way to go because you just never know what can happen, rent for a bit, get a feel for everything and then buy a home if it feels right. Good luck to you, I always enjoy your videos. Your wee one is SO CUTE oh my gosh.

Hi Stephanie, I’m Spanish living in Ireland and as much as I love my country, I have to say that the Irish view of Spain is quiet different to the real Spain. Research where you wanna go and avoid typical holiday destinations, it’s not the same going there for a week of sun and cheap drink and food than living there all year around. I agree with Darren, rent first and get a feel of the place, the culture, the taxes etc.

Darren’s way for sure...I’m a realtor, I see WAY too many people take a huge loss when they buy in an area before living there only to realize they want to live elsewhere and end up having to turn right around and sell the home they just bought. Go the safe route girl! Buenos Suerte!!!❤️

this comment section is one of the nicest on youtube, everyone is so lovely and kind to eachother and it’s honestly refreshing to see. I don’t comment very much but I do read most of the comments and it’s just so nice here, like a little safe section of this (sometimes) crazy website. 🥰

Well that was a shock! Totally didn’t see a move to Spain on the cards! 😱

I’m so glad you’re keeping your Irish home though coz you’ve invested so much in it already and it’s obviously the first home you bought which I know you worked so hard for! Plus I love seeing your wee Irish adventures! I’ve never actually been to Ireland but it makes me want to go!

I hope all goes well with your Spanish adventure. I am inclined to follow Darren’s advice and rent just to make sure it’s for you as you never know, especially if you’ve never been there before!

Much love for you and the fam! ❤️❤️❤️

Stephanie will be like “sorry I’m off on a tangent” and I’m like “I know, that’s why I’m here queen”

I moved to Ecuador five years ago and I would def recommend renting for like 6 months to a year to test it out.

Visiting a place and living in a place are really different

My son just moved from the US to Spain. He's renting now but while he's renting he is going to look for a place to buy. Renting first gives him a chance to decide what area of the city he wants to live in. It's going to be difficult for him to get his dog from the US to Spain because of Covid. And his girlfriend can't move to Spain yet either. But my son loves living in Spain!! Good luck:)

I love the "sheep from next door ate everything" line. How very rustic to have sheep living next door, I absolutely love it.

Axl has got so big! He's gorgeous and his hair is beautiful. You're doing brilliantly Stephanie, well done momma 👏👏👏👏👏.

i'm with daren on the renting first! I'm currently planning my move abroad too but I will be living there for only a year at first see how it goes. Even though I speak the language very very well, its not native level and I know from past experience that it can feel a bit isolating at times so renting first is a good idea. Good luck to you both though!! it will be such an amazing experience!!
