Join me for some travel and street photography in Argostoli, the capital of the beautiful island of Kefalonia (Cephalonia), in Greece. I'll be squeezing in as much photography as I can while enjoying a holiday with my wife.

Welcome to Japan Photo Explore, where I normally upload videos about travel and photography in Japan. However, while Japan was closed to visitors due to COVID, I travelled to Greece, and this is the first of my Photo Explore - Greece videos.

I'll be posting more Photo Explore - Greece videos in the coming weeks, then I return to Japan to shoot more Japan Photo Explore videos. So whether you are planning to travel to Greece or Japan, or just enjoy some virtual travel, you have come to the right place.

Hi, my name's Nick Pitsas. I am a photographer and video producer . If you have any questions about travel and photography in Greece, (or Japan), I'm happy to try to answer them. I look forward to your comments and questions. More Greek videos are coming, but I will be back in Japan in a few weeks to create more Japan Photo Explore content. So if travel and photography are your thing, please subscribe and click the notifications button so that you’ll know when new videos are uploaded.

For all the photography in this video I used Fujifilm X-T4 and the Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2.8 and the XF16-80mm f/4.

Please note that none of the content of this video, nor the equipment we used, was sponsored.

Brilliant informative video, we are visiting back end of September so found this very useful. 👍

Lovely balance between relaxing wander, interesting tutorial, gorgeous street shots and seductive video. All that and Nick's calming tones make me want to get on that plane right now! Another triumph.

I just want to go there. For me, more sitting, eating and drinking but I loved the walk around and the night scenes were beautiful. I take a leaf out of your book with the timing for night photography. You had just the right amount of light from the sky combined with the light from buildings and the street. Perfect. The derelict building is of course my favourite.

Thanks for the trip to Kefalonia Nick. I enjoyed hearing a bit about the way that a natural disaster has reshaped the architecture of the town, and that pedestrian bridge across the water did look fabulous. I was curious about the timelapse kind of circular Starfield or similar at about six minutes – couldn’t quite work out what that was but it was intriguing. And I did enjoy your nighttime shots towards the end of the video. Lots of mood and colour. you make a really good point about travelling with a partner who may not be a photographer, and your solution to that makes sense. I know from experience that it’s possible to have a holiday where you feel like you didn’t really achieve great work as a photographer, but you also didn’t enjoy a particularly relaxing holiday with your partner. Like trying to achieve two different things at once. Even shooting a video with your pieces to camera, in between looking for the best still images could have you juggling between video snd stills, so well done. look forward to seeing some more Street photography and more of your work at the beginning and the end of the day.

Forgive me if you’ve answered this previously, but what do you use for your photos? Just curious.
