A charge in the center of the bomb is surrounded by the fuel mixture. At time of detonation a large central charge explodes providing the pressure necessary to disperse the fuel into a vapor cloud, then a smaller secondary device ignites the vapor. This causes a massive over-pressure and searing wave of heat that destroys almost everything. A hardened target like a tank might survive, but the crew will be crushed by the over-pressure.

and the insane thing is, in the real gameplay, this bomb is about as powerfull.

Nope. There is no actual pulling or anything such. The bomb disperses a huge aerosol cloud and detonates it in just a few milliseconds. It creates a partial vacuum and huge pressure wave, not unlike what you see in this CGI clip.

that looked as potent as a tactical nuke- wish the fuel air bombs were that powerful in the game. (and available in multiplayer- which they're not.)

@forestofrencho I'm sorry I need to Edit this one, after viewing footage of a BLU-96 FAE I have noticed that this one is a lot bigger, but still a Fuel Air Weapon of this power is easily conceivable.

@mc3lwayDRIVE not really, they don't go further than 500 meters radius, while a powerful nuclear bomb can do also 15 kilometers of total distruction.
