Just look at numerous documentaries on this topic. For example, search YouTube for "Santa's Workshop" and "China." It is inhuman what is happening on a massive scale to the common Chinese people, but nobody cares about anything except money and power. Look at the management people in that documentary. Some of them were probably similarly exploited. But tragically, the exploited become the exploiters given half a chance. That's not just China, that's the lesson of the Industrial Revolution.

Great call. "Can't keep up with them, " huh? China only lost by 48 points. It was lights out by midway thru the second quarter, when Team USA led by 17 and just put it into overdrive from then on. What a dominant performance, Team USA literally put on a clinic and looks just unstoppable. Nobody can even give them a half-way decent game. So far they've beaten all comers by an average of 37 points. World, you've been owned by Team USA!

winning a basketball game, and losing the economic war,  so which in the long run is more important.  I'd take the economy.

I don't see any reversal. The US and China are in collusion, and interdependent. But the nature of the relationship is simple: US (and Europe, and Japan, and Korea) outsource manual labor to factories largely capitalized by the West in China. In turn, China gets a piece of the action. But basically, Chinese workers are working for the West, with Chinese middle-men (esp. management and govt officials) taking a percentage and enriching themselves at the expense of the Chinese people.

China still has #1 currency and you'll be satisfied to get the RFID chip they've created for USA and it's unbearable debt. :)
