Couple of questions. If the roommates door was locked, then the person broke and entered into the suspects room to recover the backpack. Can he be charged with that crime?. Chain-of-custody is an issue. You have a he said/she said situation when one person says hey, this is my roommates backpack, the defendant says no its not, who was the only person seen by police in possession of the backpack?

How do you have a little access to Stoagies family room meet the girlfriend or even the victim of the robber in another example none of which have legal access to the property in question. the roommate does not have legal access to the backpack, it’s stolen property which he trespassed to acquire.
