My Jazz Band in HS (Class of 2000, yes I was the Y2K class and YES I'M THAT OLD I DIGRESS) played this and I had a Tenor Sax improv solo.

This song is near and dear to my heart and I was totally thinking about Evangelion when I winged the solo with my high school chops for saxophone jazz on-the-spot jazz-chord-progression Bb (b-flat) Blues. It's smooth and I can riff off this song with my sax to this day better than any other track. 💜💜

I watched the series for the first time and the end of Evangelion earlier this year, I understand why it's so beloved. I feel enlightened, and this song is one of my favourite parts

Since i started wearing contact lenses, i was never able to put them. My eyes would always twitch or i would get nervous and blink. Then i tried putting on some music and this is the first one i could think of.
Man, this song, paired with Rei gives me such a calming feeling and makes it easier to put the lenses in.

One of my first memories in this world was of my parents singing this song to me. Parts of the song would fall into my head now and then but I was unable to remember the whole thing.
