Helping to Prevent Maternal Mortality

Tanzania has the sixth-highest number of maternal deaths in the world and fourth-highest in Sub-Saharan Africa, and access to emergency obstetric services can prevent many of these deaths. Dr. Neena Prasad from our Public Health team shares our approach to addressing this need – helping to prevent more than 1,100 maternal deaths since 2011.
