you may want to type "clean" before "create partition primary" if you don't get the "DiskPart succeeded in creating the specified partition."

I was trying to fix my usb flash drive with any sort of programs, but it didn't work, then i gave up. It has been a couple months now and because i was bored i restarted trying to fix it. Now i come across this video and my usb stick is fixed in 2 minutes.

I can't do it. I have done many times as you do. But this is the result of " No usable free extent could be found. It may be that there is insufficient
free space to create a partition at the specified size and offset.... "
please help me..

Thank you! It saved me a lot of time. I kind of destructed my 16 GB pendrive while trying to install Arch Linux on it persistently.

when i tried hitting create primary partition is says:
DiskPart has encountered an error: The request failed due to a fatal device hardware error.
See the System Event Log for more information.

If you are getting the following error:
No usable free extent could be found. It may be that there is insufficient
free space to create a partition at the specified size and offset. Specify
different size and offset values or don't specify either to create the
maximum sized partition. It may be that the disk is partitioned using the MBR disk
partitioning format and the disk contains either 4 primary partitions, (no
more partitions may be created), or 3 primary partitions and one extended
partition, (only logical drives may be created).

use "clean" command before doing the "create partition primary", that worked for me.

I typed in “create partition primary” and it popped up “diskpart has encountered an error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check). See the system event log for more information.”

after i select disk 1
it shows this
"DiskPart has encountered an error: The system cannot find the file specified.
See the System Event Log for more information."
