MelonDS | The Experimental LAN Build #melonds #multiplayer

This is an experimental LAN build of MelonDS that was made by Arisotura and the MelonDS crew back in late 2023. I tested it out on Mario Kart DS. It's still a ways away with wireless connections, but with the power of Ethernet cables, it works quite well.

Basic Specs as follows:

Desktop (mine)
- using GeForce RTX1050
- MelonDS's LAN build (expired to the public)
- Connected as Host (default gateway: 192.168.1.1)

Rog Ally
- GPU: AMD Radeon RDNA 3 Architecture-based Graphics
- MelonDS's LAN build (expired to the public)
- Connected as Guest (default gateway: 192.168.1.2)

So do the systems still have to be in close contact with one another?

Hey vince! Any idea when local multiplayer might be available to play on the android version of MelonDS. I really want to play Dragon Quest 9 with a friend. However after spending hours checking how to play with a friend I eventually found out local multiplayer doesn't exist yet 😅
