Shoptaugh graduated from Vaganova Ballet Academy in 2013, class of T.A. Udalenkova (director Altynai Asylmuratova)
Upon graduation, Shoptaugh had contract offers to a number of companies in Europe, the USA, and Russia! Shoptaugh accepted a contract with Slovak National Ballet in 2013, was promoted to Soloist in 2016, and promoted to the top rank of Prima ballerina in January 2020. Shoptaugh is currently Principal ballerina with the company
