We went to girls camp at Virginia Beach when we were children. The first year I didn't know what was going on. We had bunk beds and bunk inspection with prizes.

The second year, I knew the routine. I brought along a spare ironed pillowcase to use for the bunk inspection and got a prize. The second day my sister used the smooth pillowcase for her bunk and she got the prize. Then we passed it around to others.

This was the first place I ever saw Creamed Chipped Beef - different ---
This is the first time we ever acted out - totally out of character - gave the Counselors something to do - they gave us the "Come to Jesus" talk and then we were OK. Never again!

We came here on our honeymoon, but it was very winter! I just knew this was the place to go on ones honeymoon -- after we gave up on the idea of Niagara Falls half way to DC. Someone had seen our decorated car and the Desk offered us the Honeymoon Suite for a winter rate. It was $18 - tell tale of how old I am! - This was a few days after people could buy gold again since 1933. I had brought a small serrated knife along from my Mother's kitchen and used it to pig out on grapefruit all week. It tasted SO good.

Thanks for the tips. I'm leaving for VB tomorrow for 2 days and staying in the Vibe district and will deff be checking out Esoteric & that hip coffee shop. Not really much of a "beach person" but plan to check out the boardwalk and some of the other local flavors.

I think next time you visit you should enjoy all the construction on the highways and go towards Hampton tunnel around 9am-9pm and enjoy the six hour drive to cross it because of all the traffic! It is absolutely so much fun! 🎉

My wife and I and our 2 girls have been going to Myrtle beach for years! I mentioned to my we should try a new beach! I mentioned Virginia Beach for next year! We’re done Disney plenty of times!
