I started investing in the stock market because of dividends. What matters, in my opinion, is that if you invest and earn more money in addition to dividends, you will be able to live off of dividends without selling. It implies that you can pass that on to your children, giving them a head start in life. I've invested over $600k in dividend stocks over the years; I continue to buy more today and will continue to do so until the price lowers even further.

I had to basically give this same advice to some ladies at my church, the heard me talk about crypto and thankfully they asked me before they invested, they told me Shib was going to $2 and they wanted to invest 🤦‍♂️.

I learned many lessons over the year through owning residential real estate (so many terrible tenants, renovations, interest payments, down payments). The last few crypto cycles have taught me a lot as well.

NEVER take a loan to buy anything other than a manageable mortgage on real estate with the ability to handle an increase in interest rates, bad tenants and an ability to have a savings fund invade something needs to be fixed or replaced.
