I love the Matco rachets! Personally, I had great luck with them at the shop, but yeah, I love the Snap On and Mac.

i love that matco ratchet i payed 100 for mine use it every day no issues if it feels like it starts getting sloppy i just have my guy rebuild it

I was a mechanic for a long time. A point in time came when I said "throw on a 1/4" too. Later that night... I felt guilty... an extra $115 like it was nothing, for something I already have. I have around 6 different 1/4" ratchets. That was the last tool truck purchase. Now, every time I use them, I feel suckered. Like I fell for a fad. I love them, but...

Love the everything about the matco 88 the handle, flex lock mechanism, and slim head design.. except i've broken my 3/8" twice and 1/2" once in less than a year. I don't beat on them like i do my Gearwrench ratchets that all still work.

I bit the bullet and bought a Starrett tap handle over the weekend. Never thought I'd spend this kind of money on such a tool.

The SnapOn round head ratchet is my favorite of them all. A broken Matco ratchet sits on top of my box. Never gotten around to getting it replaced.

I can appreciate the snap-on tools because they are legitimately one of the best quality tools on the market! But I can not justify the price tag. I do alot of mechanical work and my USA made craftsman and SK tools have been a pleasure to work with!
