AutoCAD How to Create a Layout in CAD

In this video I go over how to create a new layout or paperspace tab in autocad. To create a layout we use the new layout command and set it up using the page setup manager. I also go through the process of creating and new layout by using a drawing template to save time and automate the process.
I also go over how to create a new viewport in your layout.

thanks for the video. how do you fix a scale for the object you brought in ? and is it possible to bring in different objects of different scales ? like a master plan in one scale and its details in another scale, but both on the same sheet.

Hey there, I am working on this project in AutoCad 2016 and I made two layouts, one is Plan and another one is Elevation. Paper size is 11'x17''. I need to lock the scale to 1'=1' for Plan view while the elevation need to be set at 1/2"=1'. The plan layout just worked perfectly according to the scale but now I am getting a problem with the layout having elevation view, the 1/2'=1' is saying 4.17% which is really small. What am I missing? Could you please help. Thank you
