America's middle class doesn't really exist. Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and have less than $1,000 combined in savings and checking accounts. So where is this middle class that we speak of so frequently? The reality is - the middle class doesn't really exist. It has hollowed out over the decades.

It seems like the middle class is moving down more and the upper class is moving up more.

Solid points. I especially liked that you brought up the point that many people that occupy this class are terrible about talking finance. Financial literacy is so important now more than ever. Great video!

The people you refer to in my view are working class but they have middle class values. The poor have no money and the rich can find ways of avoiding too much tax because they have good tax accountants. So it is always the people in the middle that suffer the most. If you remember your history it was the educated middle class that started the French Revolution. Good subject matter. Enjoyed your video.

The good ole days. Child care expenses can cost as much as rent or mortgage. I pay only $260 per month on my car which is way.... below my means. Yes, many middle class thought they had made it because of credit cards which is just a loan to borrow the things for the lifestyle you want.

So people are poor because they defend their insane spending habits?
