We are proud to announce the establishment of the Kitty Ernst Chair of Midwifery. This prestigious faculty position will support a key midwifery faculty member for FNU in perpetuity.

We are honored and excited to permanently honor our beloved Kitty Ernst with this recognition. We were excited to announce this campaign at the ACNM Reception on June 29, 2015 and unveil this tribute video.

Watching the tribute to Kitty Ernst just non so inspirational, I felt goose bumps. I am truly fortunate to have worked with Kitty in the past and witnessed first hand genuine passion and an unparalleled sensitivity into the hearts of mothers and families. Thank you. This tribute shows Kitty's spirit running free. She truly follows Mary Breckenridge's philosophy to "see yourself surpassed" by finding her wings in the next generation. I have learned much about human potential by being her witness and Uchi-deshi. She always wonders, "Will you take the torch now?" Step up. Step out. Step in. Do whatever you can and join hands with others to make a difference for mothers, babies and their families.
