Harvesting sugarcane at @itsanadamadventure’s school garden this weekend was one of the highlights of my gardening career. It was a laborious process to be sure, but something about chewing on the sugar cane fibers and watching the juice flow out of these stalks was pretty magical 😋⁣

I loved hearing all of your sugarcane experiences too! Your childhood memories of sugarcane in Brazil, Columbia and India (just to name a few) were beautiful, and it just reinforces the strong connection we have to our food culture. Thank you for sharing with me 🙏⁣
