I love how during the part with Disney Princess Geoff, you see Cesar start to reach out, and then it cuts further back, Geoff is back in the green, but Cesar’s hands are exactly where they’re supposed to be.

Just an afterthought. Ashley Diane was also in VoicePlays cover of " IF I WERE A RICH MAN/GIRL " from Fiddler On The Roof. Geoff's bass as Tevye is amazing.

YES!!! so glad you found VoicePlay!! Everything they do is amazing!! If you want intense ear listening enjoyment...Hoist the Colours is sooo good. I can't wait to see you do more of them! Subscribed!

One of the things I really liked about this grouping, both Cesar and Ashley Diane are native Spanish speakers so accents and mannerisms are spot on. Geoff and Layne both do arranging, he who arranges also edits, video and audio. Eli has no hair, Cesar off to the left.

For hearing Geoff's deep bass, try The Dragonborn Comes, Halo, or Oogie Boogie Song. He has his newest on his own channel of Big Bad John. His lowest note is in the Halo song.

Geoff drops so many G1s in this song it should be a crime. By the to the Voiceplay, Home Free and Pentatonix rabbit hole

Hoist the Colors, The Dragonborn Comes, the HALO theme, The Little Mermaid Medley (Geoff is Ursula) and by Geoff on his own channel, Sixteen Tons, Big Bad John, The Headless Horseman. Actually, anything they've done in the last 18-24 months. It's like they jumped several levels in their skills in all areas.

I've just discovered voiceplay and Geoff just recently as well. I'm blown away by most everything they do. And I'm a 55 year old metalhead.... 😂😎👍

The Play part of their nme is there for a reason. Eli is the "litle bald guy" and ceasr is the hairy one. :) Layne and Geoff share the arrangements about 50/50. Thry do everything themselves including serring up the sets and the lighting, except the final mix which is done by Ed. I would say for some mad beatbox work and their voice - though it's a different line-up before two members left, try Queen in Five Minutes. But their version of The Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim is very impressive, also Hoist The Colours.

In terms of acapella, Voice play is getting a lot of recognition lately, but the genre started to get a lot of mainstream success with Pentatonix and Home Free. The beatboxer from Home Free is kinda mind-blowing. You should check out their cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow".

Loved your reaction, thanks. VP is one of the most under appreciated groups of any description out there. EVERYTHING they do is top notch, not a bad performance in the lot, even the much older stuff is great. This is Ashley's second performance with them - her first was an updated, really fun version of "If I Were a Rich Man/Girl" from Fiddler on the roof. Agree with Christine's comments below. Dragonborn and Hoist the Colors are epics - a clear difference from their comic pieces (like this one, and like Queen in 5 minutes.) They are absolutely RIVETING. You can't take your eyes off of the screen. Layne arranged this one. Last fall/winter Layne arranged a series of minis, each under a minute, that had the whole group veering out of conventional singing into creating synthesized sounds and just a broader use of their voices. The Greatest Showman has strong beatboxing throughout, and there's a section where every single one of them has a very brief beatbox passage, one after the other. My ears went into full meltdown as I was screaming WHAT JUST HAPPENED? I think you'd like it.

Oh and their cover of Kiss by prince is one of their most under appreciated. Layne, and Eli (the bald guy) KILL that song.

#TheatreKIdsOfACappella. My first introduction to Geoff was his cover of Sixteen Tons. Eli is the bald guy and Cesar is the young man on the left. Geoff and Layne have been singing together since middle school.
