First - Official: Birds of Steel HD video game trailer - PS3 X360

The game features a breath-taking level of detail, with the weather effects of each war zone brilliantly brought to life, while the handling and battle-scarred planes are susceptible to damage and will suffer in terms of control accordingly. Similarly, a series of camera views allow users to witness their skills from a series of external views, or within the varied cockpits of the 100 planes. The missions are presented in a pre-conflict briefing, and players can also see how their contributions related to the overall path of the scenario, with new planes available on the completion of specific goals. Birds of Steel also offers the user a number of control systems, ranging from simplistic arcade-style movements, to entirely faithful control systems that offer total control over every aspect of flight.

Birds of Steel also enjoys a huge online element. Players can support co-op missions alongside friends, or enter massive multi-player online dogfights to see who owns the skies. Gaijin are busy creating a series of absorbing missions for online users, with team death matches, co-op strike missions, airfield raids, and tournament play all set to throw open the skies for the most intense aerial combat ever to grace the PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360 systems. Squadrons can even edit their finest hours to showcase their skills, and share them with their peers.

i played the demo on ps3 and this is one of the best and most realistic plane games i ever played ( in my opinion ).

Love flight sims. Due to the fact my computer has been replaced by one that is unable to play my copy of IL-2 1946, I'm relegated to consoles. I was very pleased with Birds of Prey and think it's one of the best WWII flight sims to hit consoles in years. If this is anything like that, then I'll be in line the day it launches.

This game is like Heroes of the Pacific on playstation 2. In the demo of birds of steel you start the game in the same place and some one is also showing you how to fly at pearl harbor. I hope this is a remake because that game was the best WW2 dog fighting game of its time. :)

Real and fictitious missions are a nice touch, but I think I really like the fact that you can play as either the Allies, Japanese or Axis forces. At least that way, you get a chance to check out other aircraft.

Impressed by this game, much more realistic, you can even trim your aircraft. It feels much close to IL2 1946 than Birds of Prey did :)

I just got this game yesterday and i've been playing through it on Simulation. It's great!

I really hope they make another one with better online multiplayer because their are no real good Competitive dogfighting games for online. I would like to see them improve the online service and offer more vareity in game modes and customization, more like COD but in the sky!

You guys should check out doing this with RC planes- nothing like a dose of reality to see if you can keep a plane in the air!
