Kendrick Lamar Disses Drake in BET Hip Hop Awards 2013 Cypher Performance

Its not always about the RAP, Kendrick represents the streets and raps like an Old School while Drakes raps about loves and doesn't make people thinks like its an HipHop song. Thats why Kendrick blew up so fast and became the GREATEST!

Drake raps for the people wrapped up in themselves.  Kendrick raps for the people wrapped up in the state of the world, their city, their culture, etc.  And he uses personal stories, reflections, and symbols as a lens with which to analyze it all.

i personally believe you can't nor shouldn't compare the two. what drake creates, i wouldn't consider genuine hip hop. not saying drake is any less of a great artist than Kendrick but let's be real. kendrick has the roots & the meaningful lyrics that represent something bigger than hip hop, & that's what it's always been about. he's pure & genuine talent.

Drake makes great songs, and him and wayne together are a dangerous collab.
Drake also is pretty versatile, he can pull alot of clever things off.

People who say "Kendrick tries to act gangsta and be tough" don't have a valid argument with me so I won't waste my time.. clearly you have only listened to GKMC but even then you didn't listen to the whole album.. he has never claimed a gang or accepted a gang in his songs.. he accepts the world he lives and comes from.. Kendrick is a great rapper and so is Drake.  I respect Kendrick for spicing up hip-hop once again because I was about to stop listening after this year.  Unfortunately, Kendrick's body of work is not as vast as Drake's. Kendrick only has one major album to date.  If he drops 2 more hot albums then he'll definitely be in the runnings for best Hip-Hop artist in my book.

Rap is so boring,  i listen  to 90s rap and im glad kendrick lamar tryna spice it up a notch in the rap game i like how he entertain us by getting on rappers making competition btw each other cause thats how rap was back in the day. Your goal was to put out better songs then artist,  bestest hit singles and be on the charts why you think 80s rap, 90s rap are still better then music today in this generation? did they really break it down? if they did they would have noticed it was papoose it was aimed at. listen to it again and you would have noticed the pj line was to papoose because he had his pjs sold on ebay. and the bulletproof line was because papoose said he sends shots or his shots doesnt miss in his control freestyle. if you're going to talk on hip hop do your research dont just hear nothing was the same and think the whole verse was to one person, was control to one person no and neither was this verse. he addressed both rappers that were coming for neck.

Drake held Kendrick's hand and put him on tour with him which helped Kendrick's fan base grow. Kendrick shouldn't have disrespected Drake. Also listen to poetic justice, drake breathed life into that song. It's unfortunate that Kendrick thought it was ok to disrespect someone who helped him.
This is exactly what happened in 2005-6 when Game decided to diss 50 Cent, forgetting all the good he had done for him
