How is that even ethical for Canadian citizens. I get she paid taxes too, but that doesn’t cover it. Even if it does, that’s the same level of legality as just not paying her taxes in the first place which a Canadian citizen would be jailed for.
The company should have been forced to pay what they agreed to pay her, and she should be deported and banned from returning for some time for working without a work permit.
