“I might read a few sentences to make it feel better.” You are so cute!!
I really love your ideas… but your personality is just charming and sweet and you are a joy to watch!

People need to understand, books that are sold at library sales or charity shops or give-aways have been given death sentence. If they are not rescued and up cycled they are not granted a second life! I love up-cycling old books and making something beautiful for others to enjoy!

I don’t understand people getting upset about repurposing an old book for a journal. It is being used and useful in a beautiful manner. A pocket book like this is a wonderful gift! People read books online and on tablets these days, so old books are not being read as much. Repurpose! Thanks for sharing your lovely project! 🌸

You are awesome! As an AVID Book reader and retired English teacher, I love seeing old books being repurposed instead of being trashed or burned. These author's words have been saved digitally for a life time, and now can have another life with someone who may not have read their words. Just a bit of text can inspire someone to search for the full text and read it! Love your channel and your incredible creativity!

People get upset about the silliest things. There are SO many legitimate reasons to be upset: neglected and abused children, starvation, violence, etc. Instead, we can appreciate the beauty and therapy this altered book lesson creates.

Oh wonderful...use em! Give em a new life away from dusty shelves and boxes! Yesserie!

I've seen quite a lot of altered books before, HOWEVER, I've never seen such a HUGE range of amazingly creative (and functional) pockets... 😎💖💡 You're, indeed the QUEEN of T-R-E-A-S-U-R-E books, Natasa!
I can imagine one of these books as a festive gift for the holidays, OR a wonderful way to document and treasure all of our favorite holiday memories... Thanks for the wonderful tutorial, as usual 😘 !!!

Barb Owen showed us a book titled Treasure Bookmaking on her weekly stream. She began following the instructions in the book, and I knew I had to have that book! So I got it and then life happened and I put that book on the shelf. Recently, I ran across your channel and I’ve been mesmerized ever since! When I saw this video of yours, it dawned on me that I had YOUR book! So I finally retrieved it from the shelf and have loved reading it!!! It is a very uplifting and a very healing book! I love it SO much!!!

In my "not worth anything"opinion, I think giving a new purpose to a book that is going to be destroyed is such a beautiful thing. One is bringing joy, beauty, and happiness to someone by doing that. Not to mention making the book happy!😇 How tragic a book was never read! It must have felt so, so sad. Then Natasa came along and gave it a reason to live!. I really, really like this project. I will make it when I find the perfect book to rescue, have the time and make myself happy. Thank you for another excellent lesson😊.

Thank you for explaining how to choose the right book! I didn’t know that!

Love this project and your channel. You are my favorite crafter. You present everything clearly and excellently, prepare instruction sheets, are organized and neat. Your attention to detail is wonderful, and you produce excellently crafted designs and products. Your artistic talents are a joy to behold. Thank you so much for all you share with us. Thank you for your excellence. We know it takes extra effort to achieve this. Looking forward to seeing what you have for us next.

I just wanted to thank you for giving me another way to artistically express myself. I am making my first junk/art journal about bird’s butterflies cats and dogs. It is bringing me great joy.

This was incredibly helpful. I have made cards for years, but I am newer to journals.

Natasa, you are such a beautiful person. You have a loving soul. Anyone who has such compassion for a book, ' never making it's destiny, ' has an incredible love in their heart. Thank you. You truly bring sunshine to my day. Love. X

I love this! And I say that as a book collector. I wouldn't do that on any book obviously. I'd be mindful that the book is a common one, like a very overly published classic for exemple, in a very common edition. Also some books will never be read anyways and will end up in the trash so it's great to save them and turn them into a beautiful thing.
I am inspired to try! Thank you!

I just found this video and I am so glad. I have just started to make junk journals and I have seen all these pockets and thought they looked so complicated to make. Thank you so much for showing us how to easily create them and I love that you showed how to do the complete altered book along with the finished one with ephemera and embellishments. What a great video, and thank you for all the wonderful ideas.

I am new to your videos, I am a new subbie. But it makes me sad that you need to apologize and defend yourself. Someone once told me that the angry hurtful people are not the majority, they are just the loudest. So I’m sure you have about 100 to 1 ratio of good people vs loud angry people. Not only are they the loudest in reality, but they are the loudest in our heads too. So I am going to yell at you YOU ARE AMAZING AND TALENTED. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR IDEAS. YOU ARE A

It's so clever and gorgeous, I'm deeply impressed! I can imagine to have such a book as travel book to collect tickets or various prospects, maps or other staff during the travel. Thank you for sharing 😀.

I finally did it - slowly watched and made a pocket book along with you. I could not find a sewn-bound book! A great substitute was a spiral bound book. In the US we can find these in the recipe book section of Thrift stores. Church women's groups often put together recipe books as fund raisers. With the spiral binding each page is separate, none are fastened to each other. Worked really well for this.
