I've been saying that for 45 years. Lobbyists who represent corporations should be stopped.

He was brilliant. He was wise in accessing the truth about the politicians.

That poem on the Statue of Liberty goes on to say, to BECOME American, and not become a burden, and allegiance to the Republic. Not illegally enter, cause chaos, or expect handouts.

It’s a movie, but true! Where did Kamala suddenly get a billion dollars to spend in 3 months time?

Senators were supposed to be the Lobbyists for the residents of their States. Voters were NOT supposed to ever vote for a Senator. We were supposed to vote for your own State Legislators and THEY would choose the Senate representatives. If the Senators did their jobs badly the State legislature could recall them at any time, and if the People of the State did not like that, they could vote out the Legislature. A perfect series of Checks and Balances that kept a neat chain of accountability straight to the people. A Chain the big Money Oligarchs couldn't find a weak link in. So they used the 17th amendment to just shatter that chain into a million pieces.

Repeal the 17th Amendment and the 19th too. With the 17th gone, 90% of the Dark Money Influence in DC goes byebye. With the 19th gone, no Marxist ever wins an election again. Because yes, the Marxists were the ones who funded and organized the entire suffrage movement. Most women didn't want the vote and never did. But once again, a privileged and elite few realized women are easy to emotionally manipulate into voting against their own longterm interests in exchange for short term gains.

I say make media time EQUAL with a pool of money for all candidates - or, at least, the top two candidates.

Maybe we need politicians (you know, those with the actual powers?) who don’t cave to cash, but hear presentations by lobbyists who bring grievances from poor people as well as others.

People have the right to have someone represent them in bringing their petitions to government representatives.

Maybe the reps need to go to the people, and make themselves more accessible and accountable.

The problem is that people act like only lobbyists exist but only reps matter.

The reps are delegated powers, they can tell most lobbyists to take a hike because they’re asking for unconstitutional laws, and the reps don’t have to be in DC all the time. In fact, they’d do well only to meet for some months each year. Harder for outside lobbyists to get to them, instead of easily accessible K street in DC, no?

The reps need to change. For that, people need to change by knowing better how to read liars and so can elect men and women of integrity. The rest would sort itself out, when that happens.

The Poor have plenty of lobbyists. Trillions of dollars spent but only a small percentage reached them. But first there must be a clearly defined goal.
