Demanding the new coach do things the exact same way as Nick Saban is precisely why we struggled for so long after Coach Bryant. How many former Bryant coaches & players did we burn through (all staff positions, not just head coach) hoping to resurrect his success by copy-pasting his same methods in hopes of achieving the same results?

We didn't restore Alabama football to it's rightful glory until we discarded that mentality altogether and brought in some NFL guy with absolutely ZERO Bryant ties. Someone whose only previous connections to Alabama were when he beat us every November at a rival SEC school

Been a Bama fan since 07... NEVER have I been THIS EXCITED for the season to begin!!! Love being the underdog again this year. Feeling confident in DeBoer & support staffers. So much rat poison. Go ahead world, write us off. Can't wait for the Tide to ROLL 💪🐘 Great show!

It's simple coach KD is younger he relates to the kids easier than a 73 year old Coach Saban, father time really is undefeated, everything must come to an end

I’m excited about coach DeBoer . Saban is the goat but this is going to be so different I can’t wait to see what happens . I can’t wait to see what coach DeBoer does with Alabama . I don’t expect him to come in and win a national championship right off the bat it would be nice but to see what he turns Alabama into is going to be amazing to watch . I don’t know what people were expecting coach Saban was eventually going to retire at some point who did people think was going to replace him . I think they made the best choice myself . I think coach DeBoer is going to be an amazing coach and now he can take his talent and match it to some of the best players in the country and if that’s not exciting I don’t know what is. The guy can win football games he has already proven that with lesser talent. Now let’s see what he can do with the caliber of players that Alabama receives. I think people are going to very surprised what he does at Alabama and I’m looking forward to it.

I call this 90% positive to this point.
We hired the best coach we could find who was realistically available.
He has put together a solid staff.
Our 2024 recruiting class is 2nd in the country.

I wish we would have locked Grubb and Huff into contracts before the Seahawks could grab them. I'm not crazy about Nick Sheridan. What has he done?

We will see but all things considered plenty to get excited about and little to worry about.

Oh crap. I just searched for the band Trooper on Spotify. I only listened to Knock 'Em Dead Kid, but I can't imagine it getting the players fired up 😂

Ya'll are getting ready to see what I saw in 1983 when coach Perkins took over for the Bear. I was 19 and remember it vividly. Bama had been great so long I couldn't even imagine Bama not being great. Then it happened. Bama was good but not great. Just a few years before ND hired Jerry Faust. I watched in amazement when ND went downhill. I couldn't believe it. Same thing with Nebraska and USC. I just thought certain programs were just pre-destined to be great no matter what. Not So. These things run in cycles and that's just the way it is. Sports, Politics, Weather, the Economy, you name it. It's gonna happen again and it won't be the end of the world.

Washington was 4-8 the year before Deboer took over at Washington and two years later they’re in the national title game. Same thing the year before he took over at Fresno, they were 4-8 then hire Deboer and two years later they’re 10-3. When he took over the OC position at Fresno they became only the second team in college football history to win ten games the year after they lost ten or more games (1–11 in 2016).

Even though I’m so sick of seeing Bama win just about every natty these past 15 years, I kinda hope they don’t fall off THAT much. Maybe 1 natty every 5 years, instead.

I do not see many details about Alabama's NIL program. How competitive are we with the other SEC schools? (mainly the Texas schools)

Bryant teams were small. NfL lines are not huge. Lighter linenen are mobile x and generally have more stamina

I have faith in DeBoer.
He made it to the Championship game with a less talent than Bama has.
Top 10 next year, top 5 the year after.
Let's do this! Roll Tide!
