I have always been a computer guy. I didn't even have on until about a year before I came here. I always felt like it was similar to having a lease on U. I used to work on the phone at work all day, I imagine that is why I don't like to talk on them. I didn.t have a clue what load was when I first came here. I just had an internet provider in the states. The video was helpful for phone dummies like me. LOL

Thai you Gio! Like a lot of things in life it’s hard until you do it. I’m reminded of a great line from a very bad book (so bad I can’t remember the name of the book). The definition of sophistication is never doing anything for the first time.

Many of the convenience stores in Cebu City have machines where you can add load. Locals rarely have voice, but I highly recommend that you keep a small amount of voice time on your phone for special times: confirm appointments, reservations, hotels, hospital, flight, etc.

At the 3:42 mark in the vid here, it shows many trademark company logos (TM, Cherry prepaid, TNT, Sun, Globe, & Smart). Globe and Smart are the main network systems used. TM & Cherry use the Globe network, Sun and TNT use the Smart network. They all work roughly the same however, with the promo's.

Gio, you said in the video that some people may not have money for load but can access FB messenger, how would they do this without money for internet?

Would it be an option to get 2 sim cards mailed to your home country prior to arriving in PH so you already know the phone numbers?

Get a free sim and load at the airport as you depart 📱😉

It seems way more complicated than the US. How does the price compare? I get unlimited talk, text and data for $40. Can I get this in the Phi?

International roaming is only for business people, I also learnt that lesson in Indonesia 🇮🇩 🤦🏽‍♂️

How is Facebook Messenger free? Facebook just pays for the data charges for the users in the Philippines?
