El nuevo Boeing 787-9: El avión que despega en forma vertical
La aeronave comercial tiene la capacidad de realizar maniobras como las de un caza de combate. Aunque no necesariamente las hará en vuelos con pasajeros.
La última versión del Boeing 787-9 ha sorprendido a muchos por sus capacidades, pues pese a ser un avión comercial -en tamaño y diseño- puede realizar maniobras como las de un caza de combate.
El avión apodado Dreamliner, fue probado por unos pilotos para determinar sus capacidades. Entre las que más llamaron la atención están su suave aterrizaje y un inusual despegue de casi 90 grados, pues la aeronave realiza por poco una forma vertical.
Pero no se asusten. Solo se trató de una prueba sin pasajeros. Por lo que la maniobra de despegue que realice normalmente este avión será como la de cualquier vuelo.
La nave -que tiene una capacidad de hasta 290 pasajeros- promete ser una de las mejores formas de volar, pues ofrece menores costos operacionales, mayor comodidad para los pasajeros e incluso un menor uso de combustible, lo que implica una reducción en sus emisiones de CO2.

There's plenty to stimulate the senses at the Farnborough International Airshow. The static aircraft display spans the length of the airfield where you can get up close and personal with the best of modern and historic aviation. Feel what it's like to sit in an aircraft cockpit or wander in awe at the vintage aircraft.
There's a whole host of interactive activities, exhibits and entertainment features too. Visit the Space Zone and Innovation Zone for a look into the future of aerospace, with live demonstrations and guest talks from astronauts. Soak up the shows atmosphere by wondering through the various exhibits, enjoying our live music and getting the oppurtunity to admire the static aircraft.
For those bringing the kids, the family area will provide a host of entertainment features from face-painting, fairground rides and other attractions. We've also expanded our retail outlets so you can shop to your hearts content - camera supplies, aviation memorabilia, toys, gadgets and luxury items all conveniently located in the public show arena.
Finally, if that's not enough, the 5 hour flying display will get your hairs standing on end. From the roar of the military jets to the iconic red, white and blue vapor trails from the Red Arrows, it's an exhilarating afternoon of flying. Just look up and enjoy the experience.
