Canyon Spectral CF 9.0 - Trail Bike of the Year 2018 Contender

Our annual search for the best trail bike is over, and the Canyon Spectral CF 9.0 made it all the way into the top five contenders.

The reach is to short for a trail bike - 460mm (as you say). Your trail bike of the year, YT Jeffsy, has only a 445mm reach. Both size large!

Actually it's a bit weird that they've designed Spectral with that much travel - now, as You said, it's enduro-rated bike. But so is the Strive. And the Torque. Neuron however has 110/120mm so it's more marathon'ish... I guess 140mm F-130mm R is just about what many people would get the most use of, and the bike would be lighter too.

not everyone likes a long reach. just because a few manufacturers do it and reviewers like it, doesn't mean it's necessarily what all bikes should be. i personally don't like a reach that is 'modern'.

Does anybody consider quality and durability during those reviews? Nobody is mentioning the fact that the amount of cracked frames for this model is ridiculously high, so the price is not that good if the bike is in warranty most of the time.

The canyon torque 2018 can do what the spectal can i have bin on the trails, and downhill and perfect bike for trail enduro and free ride.
