Bow Sight: Single pin or Multi-Pin?

Last year I used a single pin for early season, then switch back to a multi-pin for an exotic hunt. This year I am going for a hybrid approach with the Apex Covert 4-pin mover. If can be used as a normal multi-pin sight, or dialed to distance like a single pin.

I was shooting bare bow. But now I'm changing to a compound. Because my right eye is realy bad I have to change to LEFTY. The information about pin size was very helpfull, now I will take cara off that to. Thank you for that.

I have the same dove tail sight but single pin, I love you have the option to change the size of the fiber optic and also color, my biggest complaint is the color weren’t very bright at all, even though you had the option to change from red/green/amber, for me green wasn’t the brightest and red was, Amber was a mutual but if you shoot late afternoon you couldn’t see anything, the reason for the color not being so bright is because since you have the option to change color, the pin itself is “clear” but sits on the color you choose which causes a mirror effect which is why you aren’t getting the 100% fiber optic color if that makes sense, I’m thinking of custom making mines and pulling out the clear and the rest of the colored fiber optic that’s wrapped in the sight and and replacing it with about 12” of just green in 0.10 size

I really liked this video as it was informative to both novice hunters and older ones like myself. I am in search of the perfect bow sight. I've spent literally thousands of dollars on sights & releases searching for the perfect sight & release. I am 72 y/o and shoot a Hoyt Ultra RX3 and pull 62lbs. My release is a Wise Guy and use a HHA Cadet single pin. I'm thinking about trying this Covert sight set up because ranging is a lot of movement. I tried the GARMIN Zero but that was wasted money. Garmin does not range in the brush and is useless. Garmin is a great concept but poor technology. Great video and intelligent assessment of the bow problems. thanks. BTW I'M LEFT HANDED AS WELL : > ))

Love a single pin only have one pin to worry about, generally put it on 30 and can gap for most of my shots. Last two elk have been under 25 yards anyway.

Really useful video. I'm running the covert single but this makes more sense to me. Did yoy buy the whole sight o just swop out the head? Subscribing was an easy decision. Looking forward to looking though your other videos. Cheers from the UK.

When you removed the bottom pin to turn the sight into a three-pin did you adjust the third pin into the fourth pin slot? I really like this idea just wanted to make sure I do it correctly.
